My Winter Skincare Staples! ♡

I have always been terrible with my skincare. I used to sleep in my makeup every day, never moisturise (despite my extremely dry skin) and think that it was totally fine - which it is definitely not. However, in the past year or so I discovered some products that have completely changed this and that I COULD NOT live without now.

Facial cleansers used to be a real issue for me as I found that every single one I tried used to break me out or leave me with a raised rash on my cheeks, not cute. Finally, I found one that didn't do this AND actually worked. The Freederm Facial Cleanser has honestly done wonders for my skin. If I don't use it for a few days the change in my skin is just horrible, but after just a few days of using it again my skin is visibly clearer and softer. It does dry out my skin slightly but a little moisturiser can fix that no problem. I think I'm on my fourth bottle now so I think that really does show how much I love it!

Another skin care item I love is from The Body Shop's Vitamin C range and it's the Microdermabrasion. This is a harsh weekly exfoliator which is not suitable for sensitive skin. My skin as I have mentioned is veeeeery dry and even flaky at times (gross I know) but this product takes care of that completely. Using it once a week really helps to make my skin nice and smooth and actually seems to brighten my skin up as well.

The next thing most of you will probably know about since everyone loves and talks about this product, but it's the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. This is so good at removing makeup and doesn't irritate your eyes whilst taking off eye makeup. It's super affordable as well, Boots in the UK have deals with it all the time, so you could get it even more discounted if you're lucky!

The Body Shop does amazing skin care and something else I love from there is the Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion. I don't really have any acne scarring or anything however I get quite a lot of redness around my face especially my chin and bottom of my cheeks. This really helps to calm the redness down as well as calming the redness of any spots I have.

The last thing is definitely my most essential: moisturiser. Before this I had not really tried a lot of moisturisers so didn't realise what a difference a good one could actually make to my skin (aka a LOT of difference). This The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser is honestly so amazing and hydrating. It makes my skin look glowing and also helps to calm my redness down. It is a gel like consistency and sinks in to the skin really fast. I love this and will definitely repurchase when I run out.

So thats it for my skincare staples! You can buy all the products here:

If any of you have any skincare suggestions for me let me know, and let me know your favourite skincare product in the comments! Thanks for reading!

New Drugstore Buys | Superdrug ♡

Hi guys!

First off, I just want to apologise for how terrible I have been on this blog at actually posting! It's been a pretty crazy time for me as I have been moving to and settling in to my new life at the Uni of Manchester which is super exciting and I guess posting really just slipped my mind so major apologies for that. I hope to be able to post a lot more regularly now since I'm all settled in so yay!

Anyway, on to what you're probably actually here for - makeup. Being at University now means I get a student loan, which I seem to have accidentally spent most of it on makeup, nights out and food I really didn't need. So, I popped into Superdrug a couple of days ago in the intention of only buying a mascara as I had run out and seemed to come out with more than I intended to.

Firstly, I decided to repurchase the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Kate Moss Lipstick in the colour Wine - 107. I think this may have been one of the first lipsticks I ever bought but I sadly lost it a long time ago and considering its a gorgeous dark red for fall I thought it was about time to repurchase.

The next thing I bought was the thing I actually came into the shop for! I have been wanting to try out a good new mascara and have heard lots of good things about the Maybelline Lash Sensational so I decided to try it out and so far I love it!

Whilst looking at Maybelline products I saw their Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner and conveniently remembered I had been wanting to try it for a while so I picked this up as well in the colour 01 Black. I haven't tried it yet but if I love it I'm sure I will let you know in the near future. It does come with a little double ended brush as well which is quite cute. One end is a sponge end which aren't my favourite but could maybe be useful for blending, and the other end is a very small flat brush almost like a concealer brush which I definitely think will come in handy!

My favourite nail polish range is definitely Barry M so I picked up some more fall appropriate colours, 2 of their Gelly Hi-Shine formula and 1Quick Dry:
(Left to right on photo)

♡ Almond - Stone

♡ Sparkling Amethyst - Purple

♡ Sprint Finish - Pomegranate

The last thing I picked up was the Beyond Flawless - ULTRA Professional Eyeshadow Palette by Makeup Revolution London. This palette is only £8 and it has really amazing eyeshadows in it. They are great quality, really blendable and I was super impressed. You get 32 eyeshadows, which are mostly shimmer but with some mattes. All amazing!

If you are interested, you can buy these products here:
♡ Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss Lipstick - Wine 107
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - 01 Black
♡ Barry M - Almond Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polish
Barry M - Sparkling Amethyst Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polish
Barry M - Sprint Finish Quick Dry Nail Polish
Makeup Revolution London - Beyond Flawless ULTRA Professional Eyeshadow Palette

So that is my mini haul! Hope you all enjoyed and leave any questions/suggestions for future posts below in the comments! Thanks so much for reading ♡

Swatches and Thoughts: STILA - Eyes Are The Window Palette: Mind ♡

Hi guys!

Sorry I haven't posted in ages, I just finished my A-Levels and let me tell you, stressed was not the word. I had literally no free time since I was using pretty much every minute of the day either crying because I was going to fail or actually revising and trying not to fail.

So, anyway, I am back! Quite recently (well not that recently but lets pretend..) the Stila Eyes Are The Window palette in Mind came back in stock on the UK Stila website and I have wanted this palette f o r e v e r - mainly for the orange shade called 'Perception'. As soon as it came back in
stock I got it straight away and I have been loving it so far.

Product Info:
♡ I bought mine on http://stila.co.uk/ which is the UK Stila website I believe. This website offers free shipping to anywhere in the UK which is awesome.

♡ The palette itself is £30.00

♡ Comes with 12 different shadows.

♡ The shadows are mostly matte with a couple that have a tiny bit of shimmer to them (Brilliance, Imagination, Genius and Understanding)

♡ The packaging is super cute, a little square gold case which is pretty small and not bulky - would be good for travelling in my opinion.

Okay so on to the actual shadows - the exciting part!

First Column

These shades are quite pinky-neutrals. They aren't amazingly pigmented however they are still very nice to work with and I especially like 'Creativity' or 'Intellect' in my crease to act as a transition shade.
P.S - Sorry about the terrible swatches - most of these are pretty close to my natural skin colour so wouldn't show up too well on my arm.

Second Column

This is definitely my favourite column in the palette. They are all quite warm-toned and 'Wit' is really nice in the crease also. The star of the show (as is probably obvious) is 'Perception'. I could die every time I see this colour its so ridiculously beautiful! It's a really lovely burnt orange colour. This column has better pigmentation than the first as light colours always tend to be a bit less pigmented in my opinion.

Third Column

So the final column is where you're most likely to get your outer corner/smokey colours from to darken up the look. These are all really nice colours and I particularly like 'Imagination' as I love burgundy's and this one is super dark and perfect to finish off a smokey eye look with.

I have found all these shadows to be super blendable and easy to work with and also I've found they don't have much fall-out at all which is always a bonus! Some of the colours can be a tiny bit chalky but nothing major at all. The pigmentation on most of the palette is amazing however theres some colours ('Reason' especially) where it is lacking a bit.

On the whole I have loved using this palette and think its a great staple palette that would work with a lot of skin tones and would be well-loved in a lot of peoples collections! ♡

Thanks so much for reading and any comments/thoughts on how my reviews can be improved or anything please let me know! Also if you have any more questions about the palette dont hesitate to ask!

Favourite Pink Lip ♡

Up until about 6 month ago, red lipstick was the only thing I wore. Red or nothing. But since I've delved deeper into the makeup world I've found that I can pull off other colours as well as red, like purples and pinks. So, here is my favourite pink lip of the moment!

Smart Lipstick - 913 Rosewood
KIKO Cosmetics

Formula - 8/10
Colour - 8/10
Pigmentation - 9/10
Staying Power - 6/10
Packaging - 8/10
This is the KIKO Cosmetics smart lipstick in 913 Rosewood. These are definitely available in the UK but I'm not sure where else in the world (I'm sorry!!!) but I'm sure there are loads of lipsticks out there that are super similar!

This is quite a glossy lipstick (for me anyway) and I am usually strictly matte lipsticks. I love this though because the pigmentation is a-maz-ing and they are SUCH good quality for the price. KIKO is a super affordable brand and online their smart lipsticks are only £2.50 which is crazy. They are usually £3.90 which is still really really affordable.

It's also super moisturising on the lips and doesn't dry your lips out at all - which is great. Their staying power isn't amazing but pretty good for how moisturising and glossy they are. They do have a scent but I actually really like it. It sort of reminds me of spearmint sweets, but also sort of vanilla-y? It's hard to explain but its definitely not unpleasant and doesn't hang around after you've applied it.

In the photo I have paired this with the manic lip liner from Urban Decay (mentioned in my last favourite lip post) and they go really well together.

I think this lipstick is super easy to stick on and it goes with almost all makeup looks. I love it a lot and if anyone knows of any similar lipsticks then please let me know!
Thank you for reading and I'll see you soon!

Favourite Nude Lips ♡

I never used to be a 'nude' lip person. I didn't ever think they suited me because I'm like ghostly pale. BUT recently, I've found a lip combo I've been loving a lot.

Matte Lipstick - Please Me
MAC

Formula - 7.5/10
Colour - 8.5/10
Staying Power - 8/10
The first product is a MAC lipstick. These retail for £15.50 in the UK. This was actually the first MAC lipstick I ever bought (I was so excited!). I was super overwhelmed by the shop the first time I went in so I sort of just grabbed the closest one to me. But, like I said, I never really used to be a fan of nude lipsticks so I was quite disappointed by it. However, since I've started wearing it, I've really grown to love it.

It is a matte formula so it's not very creamy and can be a little bit difficult to apply but its such a pretty pale pink I can easily overlook it. Also, it can be a bit drying on the lips (as most mattes are) but its definitely not unbearable.  http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/shaded/168/310/Products/Lips/Lipstick/Lipstick/index.tmpl
24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil - Manic
Urban Decay

Formula - 9/10
Colour - 8.5/10
Staying Power - 9/10

Unlike the last product, this one is a recent  purchase of mine. These are £13.50 in the UK  and I love it. It's a sort of 'your lips but better'  colour and is just a little darker than the 'Please  Me' lipstick and so looks great when you pair the  two together. It is super creamy but has really  great staying power and stays on my lips for a  very long time, even after eating and drinking.  I'm really glad I bought this and have been      wearing it almost every day.

Photo's of them on the lips;
(sorry about the different lightings, I'm just getting the hang of it)

So guys, this is one of my favourite nude lips that I have been wearing it non-stop recently!
If anyone has any different opinions on these products then please let me know in the comments!
Thank you for reading and I'll see you all soon!

Quick Hello!

Hi Guys!
Welcome to my blog! This is my first ever blog post so I thought I would use it to just say hi and explain what I will be posting in the future :)

I'm a big lover of all things beauty and I am constantly watching videos and reading about different products, watching tutorials and just generally looking at make-up. Also, I love taking photos but I never seem to have a reason to take them, except for my own enjoyment - which is great and all but I always want to share my photos and opinions with people. So, I've decided to create this blog. It will probably be mostly beauty (reviews, opinions, hauls etc) but there will probably be some random life stuff in here like pretty days out, how I'm feeling and other things!

To summarise, this blog isn't going to have a set in stone theme, I'm just going to post what I want, whenever I want to share it. I hope that some of you will stumble across it and like what they see!

See you soon!
